Thanks guys, on a local gear swap here someone was selling their Friedman BE rig and in the comments section he brought up it's because of his AX8... Been A/Bing the Feactal Friedman and his and didn't think it sounded like 2k dollars, barely could tell a difference
That may be a bit on the extreme side but I've definitely been swayed to the Fractal... The Line 6 has much better all around useability, color changing buttons, programmable scribble strip, etc but the Fractal has a 5 to 1 ratio on amp sims and stuff and sounds a little better. I'll probably finally be getting a modeller in the upcoming weeks, just like with my 5153 I knew at one point I'll be owning one eventually
One last question some of you might be able to answer... As far as at home or silent playing, is there a way to, say, plug in some headphones into it? It's not a dealbreaker, but could you put a 1/4 to 1/8 headphone jack in the output and play silently at all?
