Ever seen one of those? Ones for sale in Denmark for 3500 usd

Yup they're a unique and interesting Gibson. Pretty rare in my experience.

Be aware the fretboard is plastic on the Customs. The Standards have rosewood I think.
 
If Gibson had made the EVH Wolfgang guitars, then this is pretty much what it would have looked like. It's just missing a Floyd trem.
 
They made these for a bit and they didn't seem well received.

It's nice that Gibson does odd stuff from time to time, but odder that they don't do at least limited runs of simple things that people presumably want. Like just do a run of LPs or Explorers/whatever with jumbo frets? Na. Let's make this weird double cut!
 
i dig it. Unfortunately, the 23rd and 24th frets on the other double cut LP models are inaccessible. Also, i'd bet it is out of tune in that photo :)
 
Didn't they make an Epiphone Prophecy with the same shape?
