monitors or a small PA rig?

so how loud do those things get(monitors)? I know they are all different. Probably go with 8's or 10's.If I want to crank it up will they get pretty loud or not? Never used them....I'm a newb.....

How big is your room?? 8’s can get plenty loud just for home listening

I'd go with monitors but that's because I went with monitors. If you need a pa, get a pa.

i'd go good monitors as opposed to a crappy pa. the monitors would be nice if you tinker with recording. simple interface and some studio monitors for the win!
