I have a bunch of dead Monster rock cables. I bought them 15 years ago used at half retail price. I have had a lot of them replaced, but they don't seem like they want to be accessible to honor their warranty.

Pay to ship them out and fight them...
OR
Cut them up and resolder with new Switchraft jacks? I could use a bit more bulk cable.

What would'ja do?

Buy some bulk mogami or gepco cable and some neutrik or switchcraft plugs and be done with monster.

I have 100' of bulk BTPA cable atm. I am going to go Switchraft. I always gave.

So your vote is to cut it up as opposed to try and return it? That is what I am thinking.

That's it. They are getting snipped. At least I paid $20 a cable. Lol. Sucks that they make the warranty impossible now though. I have swapped a dozen across the register at Sam Ash without issue, but they won't take them anymore. I also did more research and monster is a pain in the ass with warranties now. Fucking assholes. Lol. Now have 100' of BTPA CA-0446 and about the same length in monster
I have a lot of plugs on hand and will be ordering more.

Monster never has, nor never will have my business.

I would make them pay. Send them out, get the new ones and sell them on reverb. Cash out.

I had a brand new Monster 500 with a broken solder.
Since I live in Brazil I made the resolder with the same jack by myself.
Works great.

They are already cut apart. Switchraft for the win.

I only got them because I snagged them at 50% the price on CL. so it's not like I paid much.
