More Mustard Marshall Tone!

Just got in some more NOS mustard caps to add to the MGL stash. Here's a portion of what we have for building amps. For stock or modded Plexi & metal panel Marshall type circuits, no modern caps come close to the tone of real mustard caps. They have that upper midrange sizzle and bite without being harsh. And at the same time, the low mids and bottom end are warm and woody. Harder and harder to find. As long as I can keep finding them, we will keep using them.

Are these the same caps that @Racerxrated always says have an unusually long life span?

I wish I had a drawer full of 1950's era 500k pots for my axes. Kinda tricky to find those old school parts short of yanking them from someone else's guitar, lol.

Yes, the original mustard caps were built better than any modern caps and most of them check out perfect, so yes, very long life span. These are the caps in all Plexi and metal panel Marshall amps up until around '78-'79.
