Does it compress to much? I was thinking of the Tone Freak Naked OD or the RC Booser for less compression, etc. I am using a Sparkle Drive for lead.

It doesn't sound too compressed to me. The SL has such raw and open feel to it to start that a little compression makes it sing.

Well, I have an RC Boost, BB Boost and modded Sparkle Drive so when I get my SL.....I'll experiment to see what I like. I'd like one for kicking on for heavier rhythms and one like the SD for leads.

If you can't get a super sweet tone out of that combo then the equipment ain't the issue.
