I saw a poll where over 80% of lawmakers didn't care what their constituents thought.
The rest were unavailable to respond as they were in meetings with lobbyists.

I've been saying this for years. Everyone looks at me like I have 2 heads. I tell them "keep voting suckers" and expect something different to happen. Then I get all the losers that say I'm the problem because I don't vote. I say, they're the problem. They are the ones contributing to corruption, not me. IMO, the only thing that is going to fix it is if nobody votes, that will send a message that everyone in the country has ZERO faith in the Government.

Question. How many people would actually approve us participating in a war in the Ukraine? Sending billions of dollars. It's beyond bizarre.
Government does whatever it wants and people have ZERO say and elected officials give ZERO fucks about what people want.

Not bizarre. It's par for the course. Why did the US have a war in Vietnam and Korea. It was to stop the spread of communism or perhaps more accurately to stop the world becoming less democratic. Through that lens Ukraine is very explainable. If the world fell to autocracies there would be negative consequences for the US since the US doesn't live in a vacuum. It would be far worse doing something later. The consequences of inaction would eventually come home to roost.

In the last 5 years alone, the 200 most politically active companies in the U.S. spent $5.8 billion influencing our government with lobbying and campaign contributions.

In return, those same companies received $4.4 trillion in taxpayer support from our "elected" ruling parasites – earning a return of 750 times their investment.

Just imagine the access and influence of these 200 companies on our "elected" politicians.

Meanwhile this diversion will allow the lizard people and greys to dig a shaft down to the turtle and from there they can make turtle soup to supply their hungry planets with food and also undermine Earth.
