Here's some more raw Motor City Pickup tones.
This time, my G&L Black Ice ASAT with the MCP Hot Heads.
The guitar is tuned to Drop Db.
Just playing riffs from a song of mine and also some improvised noodling.

Sounds great to me.

I have a set of hot heads

Had me in a les Paul custom.

A little to hot for me.

Detroiter is as about as hot as I like.

2nd degree is just about perfect for me.

Sounds good.

I had some Hot Heads and I thought they were too dark sounding. I tried them in 4 guitars and hated them in each so I sold them off. Then I got a super bright guitar and wished I had them back. lol

No offense but how in the hell does anybody get an idea of what the pickup sounds like in any of these vids? If you are not playing the exact same thing in an A/B situation to get a comparison it is futile.

Haha sorry to hear it. I could never bring myself to sell any of my MCP's.

No offense taken. For the record I never said anything about an A/B comparison. I'm just showcasing these pickups through my rig.
