Hey everyone,
I had a question about running a Mr. Scary Hot Mod in my 1959HW.
I heard you need to shield a wire or wires on one of the tube sockets to prevent squeal / oscillation, I noticed I had gotten that noise when I try to turn the volume up anywhere past 12 o’clock when using a Hot Mod V2 in the past, and I assume the more gain on tap with the Mr Scary would exaggerate the squeal.
I’m thinking it’s time to take it to a tech to get the procedure done but want to confirm what they’d need to do to try to mitigate the noise if it’s possible with a NVM amp.
For some context It doesn’t have a Master Volume mod and if possible I’d like try to keep it that way (I use a Mesa Cab Clone IR+ for an attenuator to make it somewhat possible to be in the same state with it when it’s being used.)
Thanks for any and all replies!
