Hello fellow Diezel owners .

I currently run my Herbert through a Diezel 4x12 Front Loaded Cab and I tend to get very muddy bass. When I origionally baught the Cab it had Celestion K100's in which Diezel UK kindly swapped out for V30's.

Was the cab more or less muddy after the V30s were installed ? What did you think of the K100s compared to the V30s ?

The one negative thing I've read about the Edwards was the quality of the inlays. I've read where people said they looked alittle cheap. I'm thinking they are similar to my old LTD MH-1000 pearloid inlays. What do you think?

Yea, maybe. Honestly, as a player I'm more concerned about playability & the tone of the instrument. I wouldn't call 98LTC cheap looking any way, actually it looks pretty damn solid. I guess it depends on to what you compare & what your requirements are. I guess you will never know until you get one yourself. The reason I talk so much about 98LTC model is because it's a unique instrument, made very well & sounding awesome. You won't find another instrument like this. If you are looking for a Gibson copy then Edwards is probably not your thing, check older Orvilles & Tokais.

I found that the V30's sounded a lot clearer to me than the K100's. However, I only really heard the K100's at a low volume.

I've got a crappy Marshall MG412 knockin' around with the Marshall/Celestion custom voiced speakers, which unlike my Diezel cab, the speakers are mounted from behind. Now, I plugged my Herbert into this and I was not getting any muddyness. Obviously the highs were not that great as it is a relatively cheap cab.

Just got the 98LTC. Great guitar, i like the nitro finish.
I'm not so thrilled about the Duncan JB, never was.

Just ordered a set of Duncan Blackouts (active pickups). They are better than EMG's. Blackouts aren't sterile and still have that passive feeling. High output en less noise.
