Hey Guys,
I got myself a reverse Strat neck and alder body from Musikraft.
It's got the EVH profile, which is really chunky, a 12" radius, 6000 frets, Perloid dots, R2 nut.
While I decide what color to get the body painted, I put the neck on my old Warmoth swamp ash body, which I painted very badly without filler or clear coat many years ago haha. There's a Duncan JB in the bridge, which pairs very well with the bright nature of that neck. Compared to my 72 Strat, which sounds more mellow, it's way stiffer and brighter, which pairs perfectly with my Brown Sound captures.
Here's how it sounds with my Quad Cortex recreation of the classic Brown Sound setup
I went with a very minimalistic configuration for the body... Only bridge humbucker and Floyd Rose.
It feels very resonant and light, so I'm super curious how it will sound compared to the swamp ash body!
I'll probably go with a metallic red or blue finish, candy apple red being my current favorite option.
