Heading to Annapolis for a vacation and gonna hit up DC and Baltimore as well. We've got plenty of time, so wondering if anyone has any suggestions of shops to check out in that area?(besides prs, I've got a 2 year old and doesn't look like the tour is an option with young kids. Totally understandable). Let me know. Thanks!!!! JoeV

I may get flamed for this, but I would curb your enthusiasm, although Garrett Park guitars has some good stuff for a small store. Also, PRS is right over the bridge in Stevensville.

I live near DC and don't know of anywhere that special. Action Music usually has a good selection of mid-70s+ Marshall heads and cabs if you wanted to check those out. I think Chuck Levin's has good selection of various new gear, but I've never bothered to go.

Guitar Center in Towson has a lot of boutique pedals and the whole Friedman amp line.

Thanks guys! Just trying to find options to kill time if I/we need something to kill some time. It's a family vaca so shops aren't really priority lol. Thanks for the replies!!!

Guitar Center in Rockville has a "platinum room" full of Diezel's, Diamonds, and EVH, and some ENGL. They also have the BE100, Smallbox, and Dirty Shirley. Their Gibson selection is pretty terrible though. Never been to Chuck Levin's even though I live right down the road.

The NoVA stores (I think someone mentioned Action) are supposed to be good. There's also a GC in Falls Church, so you could potentially hit them both up in the same day.

Last but not least, Atomic Music on Rt. 1 in College Park is a local staple for used gear. Lot's of interesting stuff in there. If you were only able to go to 1 place, I'd say go to Atomic, it will be the most different from your usual GC/music shop experience.
