My Best customer experience EVER! (NAD) Long story. BLADES

Ok now this is just my personal experience. Just want to clear it up.
I recently made a trade to Nate for the 100 watt Blades Firebolt he was selling.
Great guy....smooth transaction. When he got the amp I shipped him it had 3 broken pre-amp tubes.
I paid Nate for new ones and filed a claim. No biggie. I got the Blades from him and it was making a weird microphonic noise when I engaged the OD. So I email Blades. He writes me back right away. Asked if I changed the Pre-amp tubes. I did. Same noise. He told me to pull the chassis and send it to him since something musta got bumped loose. The same thing happend to my Recto a few weeks back. Took a bump and something got loose. Had to ship it to FJA to get the loop reworked. It happens.
So I pulled the chassis out the Headshell. Beautiful work on the board. All clean solder. No mess. Very clean work.
Well I shipped it to him. He said he stands behind his amps 100 percent. Even though I got it used he said he would fix it for free. :thumbsup:
Well he gets my amp. Sees the problem. Fixes it up. Runs it thru some paces to make sure all is well.
Here is the kicker. He got my amp....fixed it that day.....then shipped it back to me THE SAME DAY! Top of that?
He covered the shipping back to me out of his own pocket. I was shocked. Called him up. We talked for about an hour. Guy is just passionate about his products.
I really dont know alot of what he said or did. All I know is for me?
That was the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have ever received. Guitar gear or anything else I have purchased. :rock:
I dont dwell on someones past. What they said or did. I know I got into it with a few guys around here. :lol: :LOL:
Said stuff that wasnt cool. But fuck it. I dont live my life looking backwards. Like to look forward. Let shit slide off my shoulders. I stopped taking things personal a long time back.
Bottom line is he came thru 5 out of 5 stars. He said he will do what it takes to make any of the owners be happy with what they have. Delt with some other amp guys in the past that could give 2 shits what I thought. :thumbsdown:
This thread isnt about my amp in general but more focused on the service. :2thumbsup:

Just talked to him today. He is going to do some new models with standard headshells. ;)
 
call me crazy but I dig the graphics and lights....pimps up bwah...
 
For sure. That flame one I got is da shiznit.
But all my guitars except 1 all have graphics. :D
 
My amp tech is Production manager for MAGNATONE and takes about 2 weeks and he's 10 minutes away, fortunately i never have major problems.

I've been in Customer Service in one way or another over 40 years, its what separates success from failure.

Yeah he is a really decent guy that said alot of things back in the day.
He really does stand behind his stuff. And its not the same grade he was putting out 5 years back from what I see.
Top notch work these days.
But I dont wanna get into his amps. We know how that spirals out of control. :lol: :LOL:
Just saying he went above and beyond....and then some to get the customer happy. :thumbsup:
And oh yeah.....his amps fucking rip. :D
 
Here is one question for ya.

I'm glad he took care of you but I wonder why he would do that if the fault really doesn't lie in his realm of responsibility. I mean, if he did that all the time it may not be profitable for him to stay in business over the long haul. You bought it used and it was borked during transportation. He offered to fix it at no charge to you - which is nice - but I wonder if it was more for the PR vs how he plans to treat every situation in the future.

Again, just wondering - not trying to dog you, or him or put a black eye on your thread.

PS: glad to hear he is reconsidering the headshell thing.
 
He said he would take care of any of his Amps and owners. Used or new. He us actually selling quite a bit of amps. :thumbsup:
 
The same guy that everyone laughed at and was making amps with spaghetti guts?
