I'd like to hear more of your thoughts on Bob Savage's new amp enterprise
:checkthisout:

I bought out Bob's company last nite.
He is one helluva business man by tossing Peavey in the mix.
Awesome, hope Bob does great :) Did I say say something bad about Bob?
He might be more like Billy, I guy wanting to get great tone into peoples hand without a headache, keep eating your sarcastic popcorn :D

I paid for BOTH FireBolt and Venom, I have serial #007 on the Firebolt. Its not a Cameron, he changed many things to it or guys wouldn't be selling their Camerons right? The CCV sounded good, the FireBolt was NIGHT n DAY more articulate and BROWN. It didn't have a MESA sound it was the "Better Marshall" tone. And your incorrect, its a JOSE and then some, don't place the "CAMERON" name beside JOSE. Just like Cameron borrowing from Bogner as he sat in a chair employed by Reinhold staring at his concepts and work designs. Fortin grabbed tons from JOSE. Marshall borrowed from Fender, and now Bob Savage wants to borrow everybody's design,? Who cares, the CCV lost against the FireBolt…..end of story. :D  And Im buying the REAPER next.

Can you expound upon the bolded part of the above paragraph? I know nothing about the FB, and I've also never played a CCV. Here is what I do know: the CCV has higher voltages and a stiffer power supply than the Friedman BE100. People who have played both of those amps say that the CCV is tighter and more immediate (articulate?), while the Friedman has more compression and is browner. So I guess I'm wondering what your definitions of articulation and brown are in this context...
Cameron loves MERC's, I dont. Classic Tone Custom transformers Billy is using. WARM, BROWN. The CCV wasn't brown, it was MESA to what my ears heard. The FireBolt is MORE articulate "woody" tube tone, I use the PLEXI Center position on the BLADES and its sick. The A/B was a friends amp that he "sold" after he heard the comparison, and it was sold on RT. The BE100 I liked, it was noisy though in the high gain range. Billys is virtually HISS FREE, he created an amazingly quiet noise floor, thats what instantly blew me away.

I'd say $20k down payment is a small price to pay for every amp I ever build. You did say you wanted them all.

people are really PMing this poor guy...come on, people!!
It's ironic. Some pms are against blades. Most are more curious and want to hear clips....asking me what amp it's compared to..etc.
I can say it's got its own thing. I have owned friedman and cameron Amps. They are good. But to me this amp flat out smokes em. So not sure what I would compare it to?

so you are honestly saying the Blades flat out smokes Cameron and friedman amps? in one of his videos he says it is an exact replica of a Cameron?

i owned every version of Cameron, modified, Schmidt cvv, Brad ccv, BE, pt, modified hbe 800. Firebolt is at the top of the list to my ears. I like it more than my TOL which I've owned since 94 and my Steavens Poundcake. So ya it rips!

Jeff,
The vid that was posted in p2 of this thread of the Firebolt sounds pretty similar to channel 4 (od2) of the Tourmaster I own...there's a certain low mid that amp has that others I own do not and the blades seems dialed pretty close, thought the gain sounds different in the blades, not as tight.

It's a shame they were plagued with some many reliability issues coupled with the customer service and stuck in the stone ages "fax us your info or receive no service" policy.
SMH.
I like my tourmaster, dont like the fact that every time i turn it on, may be the last time...even after i replaced the OT and reverb tranny (died again)

Well I gues it goes.... Your hands are the tone. Helped voice the tour master and my change on the firebolt makes me sound. Like me!

Played mine last night in a band setting. Was bashing thru like nobodys business. People left last night LOVING THE FIREBOLT.

Check out this beast of a Blades -

All high gain amps sound the same, so the first one should sue all the others and make millions.

Much truth in this.
