Until you get interested and/or excited about it, your clips will suck watermelon seeds. :D

Stop bitching Potsey, try curling up with the BFD manual then call me.

I can't wait to get my new system going! I've been reading recording hardware info for two straight weeks and I can't get enough... Not that my clips will be any better though...

You can get good results with entry level stuff.

You really don't hear a *huge* difference in the higher end stuff unless you have the surroundings to take advantage of it, like a pro recording studio (specific construction of the walls and rooms, etc.).

I'm in the same boat. I was just starting to get comfy with all my new recording gear and then I got really sick right before xmas. I'm hoping to get things going again this weekend.

...as for clips sucking - I am the suck king.

My ears must be magical or perhaps I'm delusional because I can hear the difference between high end mic preamps vs. prosumer level preamps in my project studio.

I'm sure you can, I just think the higher up you go you need the proper surroundings to take full advantage of it. Not that you can't hear a difference.... :)

I'm a manual whore... I've got manuals for stuff I don't own. :) Maybe there's something worng with me... Those of you who met me at NAMM may weigh in. :D

You're delusional. Why are you wasting your money on this stuff?

Sup brotha :)
Right now im looking at the Presonus Firebox. I have no idea really, but the idea of being able to easily move a device from my current boat anchor home pc to a new pc in the near future is very attractive at the moment. Plus this firebox seems to be powerful and not terribly expensive which is another plus.
