I'm in the same boat. I was just starting to get comfy with all my new recording gear and then I got really sick right before xmas. Right now im looking at the Presonus Firebox. I have no idea really, but the idea of being able to easily move a device from my current boat anchor home pc to a new pc in the near future is very attractive at the moment. Plus this firebox seems to be powerful and not terribly expensive which is another plus.
