Been playing around with the amp tonight and there are tons of cool tones in here. I decided to do a quick clip of the Extreme setting. I have received a ton of requests for Killswitch Engage tunes so I thought I would try This Is Absolution.

Only spent about 10 minutes turning the knobs on the amp for this one. IMO, the Mark V can definitely do metal/heavy music.

What do you think?

I think it sounds great. Seems to have a bit more sag than the IV. Nice job.

Sounds very good! Only reason i wont be upgrading to a mark V is because i dont need all the features a herbert seems like its calling my name more

Wow, that sounds really good. Best Mark V clip i've heard so far.

Sounds great!

I'm enjoyed your clips in the past, so I'm anxious for your full review on the Mark V. I've had a Mark IV for years and am completely happy with it (I even like ch-2), but I'm interested in reviews of the new one from experienced Mark users.

How's the C+ mode?

I am not a huge mark guy....never played one.....but that sounds good! I really like a little sag. Sounds awesome!

I actually like rhythm 2 on my Mark III. I get a good AC/DC type crunch tone with it, but it needs to be loud. Not sure how a Mark 4 is?

Dude that sounds absolutely great. Wow. Excellent playing too.

Your tone and playing are great! My only criticism is that your guitar sounds like it needs tuned. ;)

Sounds really good, there does seem to be more sag than I expected....but I'm not a mk owner either so what do I know.

Sounds pretty good. What are the basic settings, ie what channel and basic options do you have?

Sounds good! I would like to hear a bit more bite on it though, seems a tad mushy and I think a little more bite will sharpen it up more. That may not be the amp though, maybe mic placement or post eq'ing or something?

Also, does the eq work like a normal eq? ...or is it the same as the old Mark series?

You can hear sag? What does it sound like?

Clip sounds good, I like the voicing of the amp.

I always thought that sag was more of a feel thing. I'm not so sure though. Listen to the rhythm guitar starting at 3:23 in the following video. The initial transient is slightly delayed on each chord. I think it sounds kind of "saggy".

I've always considered sag to be a feel too. All I hear in the DL tune is a lot of FX, not really "sag" per se.

Sounds great, as always.

...and it was pure metal because as soon as the song started my cat ran away, scared.

The Extreme setting definitely does have some sag which is really cool. The Mark IV setting is very focused and is very faithful to the original. I have never played a IIC+ but I am loving it.

Good luck with the Herbert. That's a great amp too.
