Wait a second...where's the white reliced Charvel?

It was in the process of being relic'd when this pic was taken.

Congrats. Is this your first instrumental effort? I'm sure it's a seriously satisfying feeling. Props!

Yes, this is my first instrumental release. It feels great to be able to say it's done!

And a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has bought one of these.

What guitars did you use...and what pickups? I am liking the tone in that vid
Peacemaker sound good

The main guitars I used were my 1984 Charvel San Dimas pointy that's at my feet in the pic. This one has a Duncan Custom in the bridge and an SSL-5 in the neck. I also used my black Warmoth with a Duncan '59 in the bridge and a Duncan mini hum in the neck. After I got my USA Productions I used them quite a bit too. One with a Duncan '78 and the other with a prototype pickup I'm working on with a local boutique pickup builder. I am really digging that one right now but it's not available yet.

Awesome and Congrats! $ sent! I don't need any full frontal pics, but I would appreciate it if you rub the disc on your junk.

is that like the scene from Step Brothers where Will Ferral rubs his junk on the Drumkit?

Cool, thanks. Does your 1984 Charvel pointy have a slimmer neck profile than the Pro Mod's? I played an '07 pointy like donbarzini just bought and it was really nice just a little too slim of a profile for me...at least that's what I'm telling myself to keep it from coming home with me   This one had a blue ghost flames graphic on it and 2 hums. Sounded incredible; it's sat at this local store for some time apparantly and they are trying to blow it out at a seriously discounted price  No...neck is to slim  must resist

Yes, my original 1984 pointy has a slimmer neck profile than the USA Productions and the new Japanese Pro Mods. In all honesty it is slimmer than what I like. I can adjust to it quickly but when I pick up my Pro Mods, the shape of the neck is more comfortable. The Pro Mod necks remind me more of the 82-83 Charvels where it had just a little more roundness on the back.

So I am much more a fan of the strat head look and the shape of the necks and I don't know if I'm much of a fan of the ghost flames BUT...... you said that one sounds incredible. Sounding incredible is what it's all about. If it truly sounds incredible, I'd give up a little tiny bit of comfort in the neck for guaranteed killer tone.

you are a hell of a tasty player, if i had the cash id buy a spare CD to listen to - congrats!

This should be hitting iTunes and CD baby within the next couple of days.

Just grabbed it on iTunes.

Wow, that was fast. Thanks ratter. Drew suggested I go through tunecore to get it on iTunes and it is up on iTunes less than 12 hours later! Thanks Drew. The only thing I can say there is that the preview for "Long To Touch You" (which contrary to rumor was not written about another Rig Talk member) makes the song sound like just a mellow acoustic piece and there's quite a bit of electric guitar on that one too. So I'd say, don't skip that one because I think it's one of the coolest things on there guitar-wise.

Thanks again!

This CD RULES!!! I haven't gotten threw all the tracks yet Curt but the playing and the mixing is SUPERB! So many tasty licks on every track well done my friend!! :rawk:

Randy.... THANK YOU very much for the quick review and the support. I had such a nightmare with mixing this thing. It was my first ever mixing to completion effort and it is way harder than I thought. I also went really basic with the mix mainly because that's what I like. So it's great that you mention liking the mix.
