I've always liked the look better without the pickguard. I don't hate it by any means...I just like it better without. I am a sucker for a Goldtop!

I thought about how to convey how heavy the case and realized this:

Pick up a Les Paul in one hand and hold it while you pick up another Les Paul and hold it in the same hand and then pick up a third Les Paul and hold it in the same hand. So, imagine holding three Les Paul's in one hand at the same time...YIKES, that's heavy!
