  So I was stationed in Japan for about 3 years and had the lucky opportunity to bring one of their Japan-market only versions of a USA Jackson back home with me, dubbed the Jackson-Stars TN-01. This isn't like a Jackson Professional from the 90's or just an almost as good, but MIJ Jackson, it's a top tier Japanese Jackson, made by the same people who now do Caparison guitars in the Chushin-Gakki (factory). It's a maple neck thru with mahogany wings, and ebony fretboard with real MOP inlays and MOP logo on the headstock. I bought it used from the Ishibashi shop in Shibuya-Tokyo. When I bought it, it was and still is a winner, just plays amazing and feels great, and I loved the piano black finish, but it had some nicks here and there and some wear. So I made the decision to bring it to Fred at the Repair Zone in Kearny Mesa (San Diego), CA. He does a lot of rockstar guitars and gets a bulk of Fender Custom shop work. I simply requested the guitar be repainted and refinished and brought back to showroom condition with one modification, that the neck be unpainted with a glossy pool cue finish and the paint cutoff follow the rear heel scoop from the body, unpainted on the neck, but keep it unfinished up to the known 'scarf joint' that all Jacksons have and have the paint line follow the joint.. and here's what I ended up with. Lemme know what y'all think!!!
