I tell you, one of the best necks I've played was a Jackson DK2, it's about the perfect shred shape to me. I can only imagine a custom shop neck.

For those of you that hate finished necks, go over it lightly with 000 steel wool, it will 'dull' the finish and not be sticky. If you ever change your mind on the feel or want to sell it, you can buff it back out.

Very nice! I saw that one in my perusing of a guitar to buy. The coolest soloist I've ever seen was a carved top soloist made by Pablo in the Custom Shop, with a raptor skull on it. It was fucking badass.

Excellent guitar man! I so identify with your youthful experiences wanting the nice Jacksons and Charvels. I think my day may be coming as well.
I didn't think I'd see you with an EMG loaded guitar, surprised by that. Having said that, I've never tried them myself, just have the stereotypical view that they're more for the brootz.

Awesome looking guitar...absolutely stunning 
Personally I've never been able to bond with Soloists for some reason. I've had a bunch (have one now in fact) but I always end up selling them and I really can't pinpoint why????

Yeah, I went there and looked at the flame maple rings (posted the link above), but I can't see how those would look good on this particular guitar... Maybe if they were painted like the guitar, but otherwise they'd look out of place to me... What specific rings do you think would look good on this guitar?
