Just out on the Landry website. Must have missed the $1000 jump in prices!!!!!!

Yikes! I didn't notice that. I got #1 of the LS100M's for 2k on a Xmas deal Bill had last year.
I guess that's the range ($3500) these days for a great PTP amp. My Landry pissed on my SLO and Ecstasy, and it still comes in at a cheaper price.

Thanks for the closeup shot Carl. I'm gonna "borrow" some of those licks.

I've been wanting to try a Landry for years, I think it sounds great.
$3500 makes me want to forget about them. I could buy several great old Marshalls for that price.
Same with the SLO and XTC. Great amps for sure. Someone must be paying all that money for them, I can't do it.

The same thing here. The first time I heard of Landry amps, I was really impressed by the clips I heard. Back then, they cost $1900. Then they jumped to $2500, and then again to $3500. I guess I'm too slow making up my mind on whether to buy another amp.

(I'm pretty sure they are worth it. I just can't afford importing them, they would cost me around $8000)

Carl,
What are those red and white knobs that look like RCA jacks?

Landry Amps is returning to selling amps direct to the customers effective immediately. The normal direct price will return to $2500.00 for LS100M and LS100G3, and $2400.00 for the 50 watt versions. However, from now until the end of March, I am offering them for $300.00 off the normal direct prices.

Good Luck, Bill!

I spoke to Bill in person recently and he said he was going back to selling directly so that he could offer the amps at a more reasonable price. Check his post above as LS100. Looks like he is offering them again at $2500 and has a March special. Worth every penny!

I wanted to be able to get an open, percussive George Lynch "Wicked Sensation" tone and this is the closest I've ever been able to get with the guitars and speakers that I have.

This, right here, are you serious? Not being sarcastic at all - Wicked Sensation rhythm tone has been my holy grail of tone for YEARS. I know lots of people want to get that tone, and I'm certainly one of them!

Bogner - esque voicing, but more upper mids, basically? I love the punchy lows/low mids that even a 101b can bring, and believe it or not my Jet City Earhart (sort of a re-badged Cornford MK50II) has some similar qualities - I've played my Earhart right with my buddy's 101b.

I thought that getting an SLO would get that Wicked Sensation tone, but I've always thought the WS tone was darker than what an SLO could deliver. Also an alder-bodied guitar with a Screamin' Demon is another catalyst to that signature tone.

Jump on this deal people. Not only do you get a killer amp but you get to deal with one of the most customer friendly people in the business. I miss my LS100 tremendously. When I can scratch the dough together,I'm getting another.

Honestly, if I didn't just buy my Earhart I'd be looking into getting a Landry. I've only recently stumbled across them, and they've been gaining my interest more and more lately. Plus Bill's shop isn't too far away (5 hours, but beats driving to CA or NY :))

Have an LS100G3 on order. Trying to decide on the clean channel.

Thread hijack! There's some Frampton in that there vid-snippet.

Years ago we did ampfests, they ruled and Bill came to one and brought some amps. Super cool guy and I always thought his amps sounded fucking amazing, better than the other amps there. Glad to see he's getting the props he deserves!

Bill is a great guy. I went by his place and played thru his amps and we talked about the things I wanted out of the LS. Really a cool guy. And he really wants you, the customer to be happy. I recently sold my LS100 and wish I hadn't. I will own another in the near future. FWIW. My only complaint would be the reverb. IMHO. Just do away with it. But the amp kicks some serious ass.

I almost sold my LS100M to finance a guitar, but I'm glad I didn't. Mine is #1 LS100M loaded w/ 6550's. Been running it thru the Rivera Rockcrusher and it's killer
