I can't figure it out??

Should i ship it to Mesa??

What kinda price would i be looking at you think? I know around 50-60 to ship, 50-60 on the way back, maybe another 50-100 on duty fees...

Not sure what do do?? use it as a paper weight and buy a new one?? I'm very depressed. :(

if you know how to safely check voltages... start checking all the voltages of the preamp tubes. That should you give you an idea of where the problem is. Im pretty sure mesa's flat rate bench charge is $250 + parts.

in your case I dont think it would be worth it to send it back to mesa... you'er probably looking at a minimum $500 to get it there and back.

Call Mesa ? Then you have an idea of what you are looking at.

Mesa amps are poplular, which is nice, since most techs have a lot of experience with them.

sending amps to CA to be fixed is stupid-expensive. I learned the hard way :(

I spoke to Mike B at Mesa about my broken MKIII blue stripe . Most fixes and regular charge is $150 to 200 parts included except transformers . yea shipping can be pricey but Mike explained that Mesa will give you their reduced rate shipping back to you . I spoke to a few people about this also and said it is the best and really the only way to go with getting a boogie fixed here on Long Island . I'd say give mike a call ...he was a blast to talk to also !!!

Turned it on and it sounded glorious for about 15 mins at a fairly moderate volume and then all of a sudden a huge volume drop and now the amp sounds like a damn clock radio (i didn't smell anything burning)...changed the power tubes, nothing...cleaned the effects loop jacks, nothing.

All channels are the same...really quiet. The sound is still there though.

A pre-amp tube maybe?? All of the tubes are lighting up.

im having the same prob BTW ... real quiet .... I explained it to Mike B and he said it shouldnt be a transformer or Caps ....
