My 2nd cab finally arrived.
Here's my new setup:

So now for church gigs where I have to travel with the family in the car, I can just take one 2x12 cab and fit my family and all my other gear.
I couldn't do that with my much larger Lopo Signature Series cab.
The family had to play second fiddle to my gear and pinch a ride with someone else.

And if I'm travelling solo, I can take both 2x12's for the hell of it.
These Lopo cabs are much easier to carry around than my Lopo Signature Series 2x12 was.

I went with an X-pattern of Celestion Vintage 30's and G12H30 Anniversaries:

I'm running it with the bottom cab semi-open and the top cab closed:

Sounds great, but I haven't had a chance to try different configurations yet.
And I want to tinker with it at band volumes to see which sounds best.
Any suggestions from forumites with similar setups are welcome. :)

And just for the hell of it, here's some valve porn:

Very nice, do you notice much of a difference with front loaded speakers?

Cheers mate. :)
I'm getting more presence and clarity than my previous rear-loaded Lopo,, but I was attributing that to using Celestions instead of WGS speakers in the rear-loaded.
Whether it's the Celestion speakers, the fact that the speakers are front-loaded or the semi-open backs, my rig has never sounded better.

Cool, thanks for posting good pics of the Lopo cabs. I'm getting ready to order a pair of their vertical 2x12 cabs for my wet cabs. I just can't decide on what tolex or grillcloth.

Cheers Klark.
What designs are you thinking of for your vertical 2x12s?
Oh and nice rig btw.

Thats so cool man! I really like the setup! and the Orange looks very cool!

How are you liking the construction of the lopo cabs?

Thanks for showing us!

cheers!

By the way, I love the orange! Thanks for the rig compliments!

Lopo's angled verticals are cool, but they're too wide. I'd actually like to find a pair of the old ADA 2x12's....but they're hard to find nowadays, and they're ugly.

I'm probably just going to order Lopo's normal 2x12 vertical, and I'll carry a couple of small wood blocks to put under the front side for some tilt back.

That rig looks fantastic! I'll need a pair of 2x12 cabinets to go with the rack rig I'm building and the Lopo's (definitely in orange  ) are on the short list.

Those look IDENTICAL to my Zinky save the convertible/orange differences.
