You guys sound great. How does your stealth stack up for these tunes compared to your white 5150iii. You probably don't use your boost with the stealth?????

Ya, definitely no need for the boost with the Stealth. ;) I love the Stealth. It sounds killer. When I bring just a halfstack to shows I use the Stealth but when I'm going to run stereo I bring my two standard ivory 100 watters.

Thanks man! Appreciate you noticing the guitar switches too. It can be a pain in the ass and most people won't notice except the die hard fans and other guitar players. There's no way I can look or dress like any of Ozzy's guitar players. Definitely not squeezing my fat ass into one of Randy's leather type outfits and platforms. ;) So I decided to try to honor each player by playing the appropriate guitar. Needless to say I do a lot of guitar switches through out the set. That reminded me that I didn't post any Zakk era songs so here's some clips of Mama I'm Coming Home and No More Tears. I forgot to switch to my neck pickup for the intro to Mama though.

Mama I'm Coming Home

No More Tears

Really amazing stuff, great tone, and spot-on playing!

I can't believe the size of the crowd! In Canada here, most tribute bands would be lucky to get 50 people in a small bar. Is this something that just really goes down well in the US in certain places?

Here in San Antonio it depends on the band being tributed (and how well the promotion for the show is) but for the most part bars get filled up for good musicians paying tribute to good/great bands.

There are some really good tribute bands in Texas
and some really bad ones...I saw a Slayer "tribute" where the drummer had a 4 piece kit     :gethim:

LMAO!

Definitely some great and so horrible tribute bands out there. My singer is trying to talk me into doing a Danzig tribute. Which some days sounds like fun... And others not so much. Lol.

Like Danny said it depends on the tribute and how well it's promoted. There are some bad tribute bands out there. I saw an Ozzy tribute on that AXStv show World's Greatest Tribute Band's and was not impressed. While the Ozzy did somewhat look like him I guess his vocals were terrible. Sounded nothing like Ozzy. Maybe current Ozzy. ;) The guitar player did have a current bikerish Zakk Wylde look but in my opinion just didn't have the chops. I've heard 15 year old's on YouTube nail it better. But in his defense they guy was rocking with only some partial fingers and was still basically able to pull it off so mad props to him for that. Most of the tribute bands I've seen on that show have not been that great. They usually go with who's available from Cali I think. But there are some amazing tribute bands out there.

Clips were excellent. Loved Bark at the Moon!
Thank you brother. Bark is one of my all time favorite.

I've seen a lot of Ozzy covers but I don't see too many people rock out Jake material and do it that well. Not saying I can do it well but I'm glad to see someone do it well!

Thank you man. I take that as a huge compliment. Jake's stuff gives me the biggest fits. And Bark is probably the easiest of all his stuff. His style is just very unorthodox to me. I come from more if a scalular background like Randy and Zakk is basically just super fast pentatonic runs for the most part. I can fake that with hammer on's and pull off's. ;) He just has a very unique and different style that is all his own. I had a good bit of trouble learning some of his stuff. Especially the solo to Journey to the Centre of Eternity. Some killer stuff in that tune. Another cool one is Killer of Giants. Loved that song since I was 14. Getting to play it now with this group is just so awesome. Great solo too. I remember watching the Ultimate Sin live concert video when I was a kid trying to catch how he did those riffs. Ah memories.

Would like to check out one of your shows. You guys ever make it up to Michigan?
Doubtful man. We each have a Monday through Friday gig. I own a small business myself. We just do this for fun on the weekends. Hopefully my share pays for the gas to get there and home and my wife and I's bar tab. ;) We are just now starting to head up to San Antonio and Dallas. The House of Blues emailed me and want us back in possibly August. Waiting to confirm but they mentioned getting us up to the one in Dallas also. Would love to get on the House of Blues Gulf Coast circuit. Say goodbye to the little clubs and play the Houston, Dallas and New Orleans venues every few months. One can dream. ;)

let me know if you come into Dallas...I'll come check you guys out.
