My Peavey JSX for a krank Rev 100 +?

What are your thoughts on the deal? I have very little into the JSX, but haven't tried a krank. My JSX does nothing for me that my other amps cannot do.

I think that the krank is more unique, but am not sure from a value perspective.

I love my JSX but they can be had day in and day out for $350 to $500.
Those old Krank Revolutions sounded great with a boost in front IMO, and they're harder to come by on the used market than the JSX.
I would personally make that trade.

I had a Krank rev1 for a short time. WAY TOO MUCH HIGH END. FYI

That is what I was thinking. I paid $300 for the JSX, so it's not like a loss if I were to not like the krank and flip it. Worst case scenario I get the krank and sell it for some thing else.

I am a little uneasy about the high end though too. It seems like it is shows that in EVERY clip.

Never was a fan of Krank amps at all...I know I can get a good tone from the JSX, so I would probably keep it, or just sell the JSX and put that money toward something else.

The Krank + series sounded notably better than the original versions of the amps. The Stein+ was KILLER.

This is a Rev+. I will check it out on Monday and get back to you all. Either way it won't hurt. It's not like the JSX is what I generally rely on.

I kept jsx and I got the rev+ by trading a cheap indo Jackson. Lol.

I love it. It isn't as bright/treble heavy as I feared. I have it on a mesa cab at the moment and I love it. The presence knob is useless. Keep it under 1 (as in the number, not o'clock) or the amp sounds terrible.

I will do a NAD poat and maybe a clip.

I also have three other amps I will post that I have snagged in the last week or so. I have been busy.

Good I have become a pretty good cook myself actually. I make some wicked junbalaya, creole and pasta dishes. I made up a really good recipe for bacon fettuccine alfredo. I also make mean biscuits and gravy and do pretty good with curry dishes. If you are ever in Tampa, hit me up.

I love this thing. Way more than I thought I would. Pretty nice cleans. Awesome gain. The presence knob has to stay almost all the way off or it's terrible. I would take this over my old 5150 block letter any day. The gain is slightly similar.

The original revs are totally different from the rev+. I will do a quick demo later.
