It's a cool guitar no doubt. It was when I first started playing guitar maybe 84? That I seen him with it on MTV when he was doing a host. So back then it was the best thing ever to me.
Today it's still cool. But would rather have my kamikaze. :D

I bought a Fuchs amp he used to tour with for 1600 and recently sold it for 2300.

no way in hell I would pay 7k for that guitar but he is a great guitar player.

Yeah the guitar isnt worth that to me. Maybe to the right collector.
I just found it iconic that this was the guitar when I was 14 I would of thrown my mom down a flight of stairs to have it.

I looked at this thread and immediately thought of this:

thats almost the worst music I have ever heard.

Its pretty bad...I can't believe that was available (or I assume it was) to purchase at some point.

And yet here we are talking 'bout what everybody's talking 'bout.
Ha! I see what ya did there.

The guitar for sale is different than the green Charvel in the video. I too lusted after that green Charvel from that video when I was a kid in the 80s. I actually had that cassette of the whole Having a Bad Day album when I was 15. Later in life had a green Charvel for some years (inspired by Dweezil) :)

The album was not bad really. What a great childhood that guy must have had - Eddie Van Halen and Steve Vai giving you guitar lessons.......

DeMartini too...

I also had a lime green esp custom shop some years later that was inspired by dweezil.

Throw me on the pile of teens that had a hard'on for that lime green. Ed's r/w/b Franky was my Holy Grail of guitars, then in a distant second was the Lime Green of DZ, the kamikazis, snakeskins, the black and yellows from Stryper...Rick Nielsens stuffs....and the list goes on.

So many iconic guitars from the period.

10 years ago when I was just into collecting I wouldn't of thought twice.
