Won't know til I get my Ground Control in a week. But my bro who is a genius electrical guy tested the 'old' voltage meter and it tested out fine..so he's thinking that that piece was not the problem. Hopefully it is and all is fixed..but either way, like you said, it's not a big deal as long as in still takes midi commands..I can always just ac power it. Eventually I will want the phantom power so I will figure it out and give Peter a call if this doesn't work. Later Bro and thanx for taking such good care of my Herbie.

Ahh...all the love and praise for Diezel.. I know Im with the right family. You seriously cannot find this kind of support and love for any other amp company...mesa, marshall, engl..etc.. There is always the disbelievers and bashers in any forum you enter... In the Diezel world, there is no such thing. All you here is get 1 more...and another..
Cory

+100 million

Welcome to the Diezel family.

Now you can officially call Peter Diezel..........

PAPA DIEZEL

I would still like to rip thru one of them old Herberts one of these days!

Cory... the old voltage meter still works, just may have been damaged... I tested it myself too like Peter asked me too... it just doesn't put out enough to power a board... so if your friend tested it then it will still appear to be working correctly... you can use a multimeter and measure the midi in jack and see if it has the corrects voltage or amps or whatever to power a board... it always "worked" just didn't have enough power... anyway, regardless... I'm glad your happy :)

Cool..Hopefully that will be the fix then. Get my ground control on Wednesday so I will let you know if it works. Cheerz

What amp were you coming off of when you got the Herbert?
Is the Herbie light years ahead?
Congrats again.....

Dude!!!! :gethim: I can already smell the GAS comin' from your headspace... Look at ya!!! :scared: You're not even 2 weeks into your V and you're already secretly having a mental affair with Chez Herbert :aww: Poor Bugger...Diezelitis. Happens to the best of us.

I've got my bases covered - the VH4S, a soon-to-be 20thA XTC, and then, by fall, the Herbert. Those 3 amps should cover my musical musings rather nicely me thinks.

But DAMN - there's something SO tight and addictive about the Diezel tone!!!

Mr. Surhimmetal.... What's your Suhr Modern loaded with pup-wise?? What did you play before you got into this ax?? I'm eyeballing Suhrs, they sure is purdy...

Peace Gents!!

The amp I had before my Herbie was a Splawn Nitro loaded with KT88's. Very good amp and treated me well. Scott makes a damn good amp and is a good guy. I just found the nitro and quickrod a bit 'stiff' and cold. But in saying that, the quickrod paired with the Herbert is a great combo. Splawns cut thru the mix well being middy and percussive...Just ask Andy Wood..that's the rig he used to record his Down from Up album. But now that I have my Herbie...there is no other amp.. I have found my home. She is perfect!!!

My Suhr modern is loaded with JST Aldrich pickups. As the Herbie is THE amp for me, Suhr is THE guitar for me. John, Ed, Shon and the rest over there know how to build the best and it's like one big family. Great guys, amazing machines... By far the best guitar I have EVER played. So with my Herbie and my Modern...I have my family and could not be happier!!! Here is a few pics of my Modern..named 'Evi". Cheerz all

Well .........you busted me!
I really have been gassing for the Herbert as well as the VH4 for the longest time.
I just happened to get the VH4 FIRST!
Like I mentioned the Herbie will grace my cab one day. But in the meantime....the awesomeness of the VH4S has me in a spell......

You can't go wrong with the VH4 Mailman.... But I can honestly say, My gas fix has been filled with my Herbie!! All Im gassing for now is another 4x12 and a Koa Suhr Modern...but gas is all it is cuz I won't be buying nothing for awhile...but I sit here more than content and grateful that I finally joined the Diezel family. Later friend

Yeah I wanted the VH4 a little more since I came from having some High Gain metal amps back to back(Not saying the VH4 cant do metal since it CAN!)
but I know the voice is a little more scooped on the Herbert.
One will come to my home one day!

No one can fault your choice as a lack of good taste. I got the VH4 first, tried a Herbert, wet myself
and had to have it. With Diezel's there are camps that have formed for the VH4, Einstein, Herbert etc
so I don't feel the pressure to have to be preferential to any of them. Now if I could just get Schmidt out
of my head I could sleep at night.
