I’m kind of interested in his Fish and 3+SE clones but don’t know anyone who’s ever bought from them.

Yup. I have them. And I have bought from Oleg from Russia “with love” and there were zero problems. And yes it was during the ongoing war. He likes crypto. I am not a crypto guy BUT I did it and it works. The fish looks very cool. I have 3 units (not fish) but the X88 is killer. Mostly because it’s 3 channels. The iic+ and superlead are also really nice. I can get you in touch with him. He is on WhatsApp.

Nice. I want the 3+SE mostly as I already have the X88-IR.

I had the SLO and Shark preamps. The SLO preamp was killer. Loved it. I did like the Shark preamp that much. Not enough gain if I can remember. And I don't even use that much. Excellent quality preamps though.

There is a dude on reverb who sells them; I went through Oleg himself. Fuck middlemen it’s a bit cheaper. And if you have an idea of what you want he will make it if he has the schematics. Very quick. I wanted a morin pre but I found the amp head instead.

Not a fan of the 3+SE, always thought it was overrated. My Langner back in the day slayed that thing. Check out the Groove Tubes Trio, better take on that plus designed by Bogner.

I have his SLO preamp. Very well built, sounds great, was cheap back when I got it. Buying is a hassle now as he is trying to keep the Kremlin out of his business. But his stuff is great. Lots of variety in the preamps has.

I have an X88 and a 3-channel XTC pre. The X88 was bought used in the US. The XTC was imported. No problems on the business end. Prices were great.

The midi implementation is a little flaky. About 20% of the time if I boot them up with both pres daisy chained the XTC loses its mind and requires a reboot. Not daisy chained, it's 100%. Not sure which one is at fault, and I'm not going to stick a MIDI analyzer on to find out.

In terms of sound the X88 is good but not as good as my X88-IR. I'd probably sell it if you want to buy. 8/10.

The XTC is good too but less gainy than any XTC I've ever played. Still usable and a good sound. 7/10.
