Here she is! Sounds awesome. I'm going to take it in to my tech for a little checkup since it's 35 years old. Got this one for a pretty good price off of craigslist. New Marshall knobs already on the way.

It actually has a replaced power tranny. It was replaced with a Heyborer and it sounds great like every other JMP I've owned. I have the original PT that I could have repaired, but by all accounts, it doesn't make much of a difference in tone.

I wish i would listen to my gut feelings. in 1999 I had several, a 1974 50 watter a 1979 50 watter and a 1978 100 watter. I thought i should just lock these away for a while. I could have more than doubled my dough easy. life ...

What type of music do you play? They are just simple yet great sounding amps. No effect loops, single channel, etc.

I play in a classic rock covers band, usual stuff, Hendrix, Clapton, Doors etc and at home i play heavier stuff, nothing heavier than Slayer. I'm thinking a JMP a decent boost, phase 90, evh flanger, and that's it.

Do the JMPs have to be super loud to sound good ?
