NAD! 2001 Soldano SLO!

Picked up a 2001 Soldano SLO from Greg(GBmusic). Very cool guy to deal with. What a great amp..makes you work harder and won't hide anything but MAN what a roar. Gigged with it and my soundguy said he's never heard a better tone. Ran it through my '79 Marshall cab with G12 65s and it killed. Gonna try it with greenbacks next weekend. I put a little mid boost in front and it was very Marshally..turned it off and modern type gain was there to be had. Great amp. I now get what all the fuss is about.

Yeah it really is something special. I've had some great amps over the past few years but this SLO is the best sounding yet..even better than my Jube which has chased lots of other modded Marshalls away...

Yeah this is just a great amp. I picked up an EVH 5153 4x12 and between that and my old '80 Marshall G12 65 cab the tone is ridiculous. I tighten it up with just a slight eq pedal mid boost and it's all modded Marshall on steroids and with the boost off it's more modern. Wow. I can't remember getting any piece of gear that got me this ramped up. And I think the clean is decent..at least for the few tunes we do with a clean tone.

Congrats. I'll never forget when I was at my guitar techs shop and Jon Shaffer rolled in and picked up his SG that just got done being set-up. He walked across the room plugged into his SLO half stack and I freakin got goose bumps. That dude's got skills
