Picked this up a little over two weeks ago. Very cool amp! Lot's of versatility for a single channel. The combination of Gain 1 and 2 along with Bright 1 and 2 will open this thing up to just about any speaker combination and room.

So far I have been loving the 80's setting on the Era switch. Still need to mix in some of my other speaker cabs. Only used it with the 1960B greenback loaded cab so far which I feel is a great match. Interested to see how it does with the Friedman cab next. That one seems to be a bit darker than the greenback loaded Marshall but the bright switches will take care of that.

Plexi, 80's hot rodded, and modern tones are in there and all of them sound really good to me. Only negative that I have is the passive effects loop. Digitech Hardwire delay and MXR M300 Reverb don't play well in the loop yet. Going to try a RP1000 that I have on the shelf next using the 4CM.

I think I need another shelf in the tone room now.

I forgot to mention the Pussy Trimmer knob on the back! At 2:00 is the stock position. Turning it down reduces saturation and gain. Turning it up increases both. I think I have had it at about 2:30 or so.

Looks cool, the boss se-70 sounds really great in a passive loop

That is great to know! I have heard that the DD500 works as well. If the RP1000 doesn't work, I am going to want something in the loop for delay and reverb.

Awesome, my old amp. I had that amp built from Nik. Glad it is being loved, looks right at home!! :rawk:

Good choice on the color scheme! Did you have any luck using anything specific in the loop? I am not going to ship this around to have a Metro loop put in but will spend some cash to get some delay and verb working in the loop.

Hate it when builders put those crappy fx loops in their amps. My Randall RM100 suffers from that same thing. We all want pedals in our loops now, the 80's are over, a rack is a pain in the ass for most people. Put a proper loop in! Ceriatone amps sound great to my ear though. I love how he posts the layouts, no secrets because he knows everything has been done before. This is just his take or what he has "borrowed" from other amps/builders.

I never noticed an issue when running a RP1000 in the loop of my RM100KH. Maybe the Yeti will be the same? IDK. However I should be buying a mini Klein-ulator from hatrick00 that he had when he ordered the amp so either way, I will get the delay and verb working.

Congrats! ...I'm curious why Ceriatone can't just put a Metro in it already?

You have to modify the input and output of the loop for a Jose and I’m pretty sure that info is still being gatekept.

EDIT: Sorry just noticed you mentioned Kleinulator above.

I built a Dumbleator (C-Lator) in a Dumble inspired amp and a Bogner XTC inspired amp and it def is not transparent but the color it adds can be a good thing depending on the amp. Tends to smooth out the tone a bit.

Killer looking amp!

Wonder if Nick is still planning on releasing an MCII clone?

My understanding is that the Metro loop is designed to be fed an relatively hot, un-attenuated signal from the treble wiper of a non-master volume amp.
I've heard of guys getting good results dropping R2 ( shown below ) from 2.2M to 470k when feeding the loop with a lower level signal from after the channel masters ( via a relay ) in a channel switching design.
I have not tried this yet myself, but I have verified that this resistor value is 470k in the Friedman multi-channel amps.
Feeding a Metro loop off the treble wiper in a pre-tonestack, Jose master volume design would seem to suggest a similar, lower level signal sent to the loop due to the attenuation of the master vol + the diodes. The 470k mod would probably be an improvement to the Metro loop in this scenario.
The other option would be to use an un-modded Metro loop, but add a loop return volume. Then you would keep the Jose master vol cranked up and control output vol with the return vol control.

I have not heard of having to modify the return of the Metro loop.

I have nothing more to add than the fact that the metro loop is fantastic in my JCM800. Feels transparent to me without any noticeable change in tone from stock.

Nik does offer a buffered loop now. My Yeti had one. It had a little switch to turn it off/on. The buffered loop he puts on the Molecular has a loop volume knob.
