Congats!
Been wanting an SE for a while, but was afraid to stick my neck out that far without trying one.
I've become quite the Engl fan this summer... after picking-up a Powerball 2 from a fellow Rigtalker. I LOVE THIS AMP!!!
Don't quite understand some guys' dismissal of the Powerballs though. I REALLY dig mine. It's my favorite amp... probably EVER. And the list of amps that I've owned and sold (several right here on RT) includes such notables as the VHT UL, Bogner XTC and Shiva, and H&K Triamp. I've also had in my possession amps like the Bogner Twin Jet, Elmwood M60 and other great amps. I like the Powerball MORE than all of these amps! Especially the VHT. Don't see/hear what the big deal is with them.
In regards to the Powerball versus Fireball... there are one of each sitting down at my local dealer. I like the Fireball, but I like the Powerball more. So do most of the people who've plugged into both of them (my buddy works there).
Anyways... not trying to stir shit... just want to throw-out the old "different strokes" cliche in here. One guy's holy grail is another's "meh".
