Dave just recently installed a secret little switch on my BE that makes it a lot more raw Marshall. KILLER switch :)

You can see my BE has 5 switches on front...
I wonder of this is the same as the VH switch he used to offer?
Yours having 4 switches would mean it also has the gain reduction switch and the new voice I guess.
I'm looking forward to hearing the new voice & switch(es) when they start appearing in stores.

No, the current "voice" switch is what used to be the "VH" switch. It was just permanently added at some point. The 4 switches you see grouped together are the voice, bright, Clean/BE/HBE and gain structure.

The 5th switch is between the presence and bass controls. It has no name really.

Ok. I went and made a quick, rough video of my BE. All I had was my iPhone so take it for what it is. Soon, I'll make a better demo with an SM57 and decent camera. This was LOW volume. My camera mic would clip at anything higher. It started freaking out for a few seconds during the video anyway.

Any decent set of ears will immediately hear the difference in the openness of my amp compared to a normal BE. I'm on the BE channel, gain structure switch set to "mid" gain, with gain knob at 3 o'clock. So no where near the gain this amp is capable of. But for demonstration purposes, this setting works best IMO.

I start out with the "5th" switch in "normal" BE mode. Then after I play each riff in "normal", I engage the "5th" switch.

NO effects, just straight in.

Using headphones will greatly increase your chance of hearing the difference in the switch.

That sounds great! Way more open and Marshally than I remember the BE sounding, but that was an older model. Your vids are always killer..thanks!

You know, after listening to the video, I couldn't help but think my BE sounded a little harsh on the top end. I had a Tungsol preamp in V2. I put the stock Chinese ARS back in there, and swapped a high-grade JJ into V1. It's quieter now and it cleaned up that harshness. But brought back some of the bottom end. Which is good, but doesn't quite get as raw. All in all, I think it's a good sound.

These amps are very tweakable. And Dave can pretty much make them how you want. Anytime I ask him for a mod he just says, "Yeah I can do that..." :)

Well, it took me A LONG FFin time, but I finally got around to getting one of these. Personally my favorite Friedman.

I love this amp.

Very cool rezamatix. Is this an overdrive from 9:46min on in front of the amp? Sounds heavy. Or is this only the amps gain (the 3 channel on the wildwood edition? )

yes. thats JUST the amp at 9:46.

which channel? Is this sound exclusiv only the Wildwood edition?

How much gain does this Wildwood SB have? Alice in Chains type gain/grind on the 3rd channel? What about 'thump'?

And would this amp cut in a mix like a Splawn or Marshall?
