Are you referring to the deliverance cab with p50e’s?
I’ve heard they are a love/hate speaker, but never tried them.
Your description sounds like what my k100 front load cab sounds like.
(I’ve started really liking that cab with my d120.)
Deep, punching bass that surrounds you but is controlled and tight.
Are the p50e’s anything like the k100?
There is a d cab for sale local to me but from the vht era. With p50e’s.
A buddy who’s ear I trust hates the p50e, is what’s holding me back.
Loves the fane loaded Fryette.
The thing with the P50E speakers is they need to be seriously broken in before any judgement can be made on them. I think a lot of cats get 412 cabs and are only playing Madison Square Bedroom, which is fine, but the P50E aren't even moving until air starts getting pushed hard; and then you need many hours of that action to get them to sweeten up. Do I like P50E...?? They're IMHO amp specific - sometimes they work gloriously, sometimes they didn't. But the thing that *really* gets me about the D412 (in particular) is how adaptable it is to other speakers. I've got some loaded with the Cantrell special (V30 bottom, G25 top), K100s, V30s, etc. They're just amazingly versatile cabs - all front loaded - and the power they put forth is undeniable. They just don't give in - they're solid. Funny thing is?? They're pretty light to move around compared to, say, an UberKab or Diezel (MIG) cab. Another two of my faves. But the D412 is awesome with the P50E's depending on the amp and also making sure they're properly softened up with solid, hard-hitting use. If the cones don't jive with you? No sweat, plunk your faves into it and the likelihood of them sounding amazing is 99%
Dope ass cabs - period.
