Well, I threw myself a curveball. I was looking at either the 5150 III or the Engl Blackmore V2. Then I decided to get the Engl Artist Edition after hearing clips of the Blackmore and AE back to back. If this amp does what I think it will, then my Savage 120 MK II will be up for sale shortly.

I definitely would take the AE over those 2. My favorite Engl's were the AE, Inferno and SE EL34

Yes - I would love to hear about the differences between the two side by side. My understanding is that the Blackmore and AE are really similar to the Savage, mk1 at least.

The Artist was supposed to be Doug Aldrich’s sig amp, according to the Engl YouTube video. I’m excited as I’ve always thought Doug had a good ear for tone.
