So looks like Santa came early this year and brought me another nice amp to play with
Scored a 1978 Marshall JMP SuperBass 100w, and it's in fantastic condition for its age! Everything inside is stock and none of the wiring has ever been touched as far as i can tell. The 'window' selectors for the Impedance and Mains Voltage were a bit iffy, so i just ditched them and hardwired the amp internally for 240VAC and 16 Ohms. Also the handle ontop of the headshell needs to be replaced, but that's no biggie.
Also it came with original Mullard preamp tubes, and a fresh set of Ruby EL34B-STR which was nice!
Cranked her up last night and she sounds great, pure bluesy classic rock tones!
I actually bought the amp so i could mod it and try out a couple of new circuit ideas i had in mind, so chances are during this Xmas holiday i'll end up modding it. I'm sure it will sound killer
