Hey Guys,
I have had a tough week with an unexpected visit to the hospital early last week. I am home now and had a really cool Cameron Marshall head come while I was away,
I just hooked this up this morning.
This is a mint 2004 Marshall 100 watt Plexi Reissue that has been modified by Mark Cameron with his Jose High Gain mod. It sounds amazing, I was a little hesitant that this would live up to the hype and the CCV I owned. It does, tons of controls and options, Preamp gain master, 2x brite switches, bass boost, foot switchable solo boost, Low Gain and High Gain circuits in different inputs.
I paired this with two Handwired Marshall 4x12 cabs loaded with the stock Celestion G12H-30's (my favorite).
The Low Gain sounds like a killer AC/DC/Black Crowes vibe and high Gain input has all of the sizzle 80's high gain, saturated, compressed, bright and toneful sounds Marks mods are famous for.
I also got a Egnater SL2x module from Hilly yesterday as well so I will pop that in my Eganter rig and compare the two takes on modified Marshall tone.
I feel like shit but at least I have something cool to do while I am bombed on Morphine
I promise I will post clips when I feel better, I fear anything now would sound like the Grateful Dead with all the drugs running through my system
