Something large has arrived at my doorstep!
Luna is asking if it’s a Chewy box?!
Doesn't look like anything a Puppy would like...
Beautiful Packing material wouldn't you agree?
I have an idea, let's look inside the box!

Almost there!

MetroPlex #001, the first production design in 2015
I've dialed the gain way, WAY back on this thing, so there is absolutely nothing to hide behind playing wise. It can do hot-rodded plexi without any problems whatsoever and there is way more in it than the video shows. This is the gain on 2 in 66 mode with variac mode engaged, 100W mode selected, and an SD-1 out front goosing it for the good goods.
Overall I'm astonished George doesn't make these anymore. It's a complete game changer for Plexi tones on tap and would demolish demand for anything vintage at 1/3 the cost. I offered and was turned down for a 68 plexi for $4,750 cash offer. There's no need for one with this around, and honestly this is a better made amplifier with many more gig-friendly features that you'd want in a modern amplifier anyway.
George doesn't get mentioned much around here with Dave controlling a large chunk of the marshall market, but if you're fine with Marshall bark and all of the plexi goodness that goes into a marshall without the wonky drawbacks like reliability, wonky tonestack responses, lack of gain boosts on tap, and no footswitchable clean channel, look no further than a used metroplex on the market.
