Well, once again I bought the item that I posted in the crazy deals. The guy let it go for $1800.
I needed this amp. Well, I wanted it anyway and I was driving right by his house and,... I just happened to sell enough gear to clear up any guilt. Investment I say. I won't lose a dime selling it, which won't be tomorrow, maybe next week, if it doesn't rock prctice like my Boogies do, I'll waste no time offing it.

Edit; I played it for 20 minutes when I got home. The Boogie is still untouchable IMO. But tomorrow I'll crank it up and maybe I'll change my mind. The videos I watched are awesome so I am hopeful it'll bloom.

My buddy bought my Les Paul that I just bought. I sell those Les Pauls pretty quick.

Congrats! I had one for a while, reminded me of an SLO 100 with alittle more chew to it.

It sounds way better through EV speakers. I'm starting to dial this bad boy in.

2 hours later;
I have to say that this amp is absolutely astonishing!!! It has the touch sensitivity thing going on and it will do modern metal no problem, and of course, zero hiss. I found that the amp doesn't sound all that good through the stock cabinet with Greenbacks, the 1974 Marshall 1960a with Cream backs is much much better and I have a MESA/Boogie OS 412 with EV/MC90 speakers that I will try later today.

The "Feedback" knob should be labelled "snarl" because it takes the amp into the pissed-off range of tone. The "depth" is a damping control which tightens or loosens the speaker response for chugging.

One of the amps on my list of wants.
You stole it for that price.

Holy crap that's a deal! That's awesome, congrats. May it give you all the chugs.

I have not owned many non Marshall, Mesa, or Fender amps. I've tried a bunch at stores and open mics, but that is so limited I never really was very impressed. I'm an old dog, 58, and I've always been super active in playing my whole life so I do know tone. This frigging Mezzabarba, this is how to pronounced the amps name, "Hi John,
very interesting that thing of pronunciation... i have to take a video about it!
We say Mezzabarba like mozzarella, but harder, something like Metsabarba but harder.
Beacause we have two kinds of Z, one sweeter for pizza or mozzarella and one harder for Mezzabarba or Bazzano.

Best

Pierangelo") rivals my Boogie C+ which I still have access to compare face to face and I can say this, I prefer this amp to my current crop of Boogies, a Quad preamp, Mark IV, and Rectifier. It is more dynamic, touch sensitive and uncompressed which is a charater of older pre-90's amps.

No sleep for the wicked, been up since 6 playing, now I have to go to work. :aww:

Sounds really good. That's the greenback sound I love. ...Really curious about these amps and congrats on your acquisition. What were those settings if you can share or recall? How's the Master Volume?

I like your carpet and sweet wood paneling more than the amp!

With those settings you have crunch and lead :D I prefer set the power amp less aggressive, because i use the first channel for cleans.

Pierangelo, the amp maker was great in helping me figure out why the foot switch didn't work on the Boost channel. It turns out it was wired to the wrong pin and never worked. I changed the pin on the foot switch and it works now.

Congrats, that is a great deal. Not sure I’ve seen one at that price.

The M-Zero is still the best one of their production.

Italians do it better :D

I didn’t actually want to buy this amp but something inside me said I probably should because it lines up with the coincidence. I was going to buy another JCM 800 but the guy wasn’t willing to bargain down from $1400 which just happened to be my budget. This is how I arrived at the $1400 instead of getting the 500 I wanted. I had a bass listed for sale for over a year with almost 9000 views on reverb. It was an American body but a replacement neck. I would’ve took $600 for it but people thought there was something wrong because the price was so cheap. Some guy said he was really interested and of course that was followed by literally over 20 questions and then when he doubted me, I took it apart and documented everything and said fuck it I’ll list the body alone for 1750, 9 hrs. later I have an offer for 1500 and I took it. I kept the case listed the neck for 115 and sold that immediately so even after all the reverb crap I had 1400 cash in my hand and I saw the Metsabarba for 1500 for the head offered the guy 14 cash that I had andHe said OK and we arrived at 400 more for the cabinet. I would’ve taken 600 for the bass minus fees I would been 500 and I’ll be looking at buying something Like the JCM that’s listed in the Crazy deal section for 900 bucks that I originally wanted for 1400 or something else.
Thank you Karma gear gods. ( The nonworking pedal works now thanks to Pierangelo the amp’s maker. He actually wired the foot switch input on the midi cord to the wrong pin on the midi cord which is actually not a midi cord it just is used for an electrical signal. Having the Boost channel with a boost put the clean channel up to around 11 o’clock on the overdrive channel and I keep the Overdrive channel around 2 o’clock, it is great.)
