I bought this amp over 2 & 1/2 months ago and waited to really feel the amp out before I posted anything on it. I had a Deliverance 60 and thought it was OK but sold it pretty fast because I just didn't bond with it. I bought 120 and from the 1st time I played through it I was blown away. I've never been a fan of 1 channel amps but this thing can go from a beautiful chimey cleans to plexi-ish to full on rage with the volume knob on the guitar. I've never owned an amp that is so touch sensitive. It sounds incredible with my Les Paul's, Tele, Charvel, and what blow's me away is how good my Strat sounds through it. I was running through my Marshall BX 4-12 with England Greenbacks and it sounded great but every one on different forums said they sound best through a Deliverance cab and Guitar Center had one on clearance so I picked one up and yes it sound a lot better but I think running both cabs together is the perfect mix. I sent it down to Fryette and had Steve/Dave do the loop mod to it and now I can run delay and reverb so I'm in heaven. The loop is totally transparent!! If you own one of these amps and you've been on the fence about doing the loop, do it you wont be sorry!! I will say that the SLO-100 is and probably always will be my all time favorite amp but I haven't been this happy with an amp since I bought my 1st SLO and this one is was over half the price of the SLO. A good friend of mine bought a D60 and we A/B'd the 2 and while the 60 sounded great I saw the disappointment in his face when he played the 1st chord on the 120 (which just made my day :rock: :lol: :LOL: :rock: ) The next day he took the 60 back and he now has a 120 also. Ive owned several VHT's over the years and never really liked any of them enough to keep one but this amp is a winner!! It's funny with all the high $ amp's Ive owned over the years I've wound up here :confused:

looks great! and from what i read from your post its probably sound awesome!
congrat!

I been saying it for years;
VHT Amps + VHT Cabs = Bliss.

The D120 just roars. Thats once amp I will get back someday.
Congrats

Nice! The D60/120 are the only Fryette's I really like. I've never been able to use the volume knob in a live situation to go from clean to dirty and back again without the clean sounding anemic or not being able to get back to the proper level of gain. If Fryette made a D60/120 in two channels with the loop I'd probably sell off all my other amps. They just kill!

I will say that it does some getting use to but it does work.

Ive had the D60 since the first run, but never had the chance to play the D120. Does it just sound "bigger", like the difference between a 50 watt and 100 watt Marshall?

IMO it does sound bigger but when we A/B'd the 2 the 120 was more harmonic and it just had a juicier tone. Its hard to describe but there was no comparison. Like I said the 60 sounded great the 120 was :rock: :rawk: :rock:

Whoah, congrats man! I know the list of amps you've owned, so it must be a killer amp. I have a CL100 I won't part with either, really under the radar for how great they are.

I got to play a Deliverance 120 in a local shop here in Houston and it sounded really good. Would love one some day. Your assessment is right on - a single channel amp, but a damn good one - clean to hell unleashed

congrats! :rock:

I just traded an old Charvel MIJ model 2 I had collecting dust for a Deliverance 60. HOLY HELL! This thing kills. Just awesome! I honestly think that it is as articulate as my old SLO...and turn it up and it stays together well. Doesn't quite keep up with the SLO when you really get loud but MAN this is a great amp. I can dial it in modded Marshall or modern with the gain style knob. These are GREAT amps and if you are a Marshall guy like me don't be afraid to try one! Greg's post got me intrigued..and my buddy always wanted my old Charvel..and he's had his Deliverance for sale forever. :D

Those clips were great and spot on...I totally hear the SLO vibe in this D60. Honestly this may be the best bang for the buck out of anything I've had....I think there's a D120 on GC online for 999...VHT are really great amps and I'm sold. The SLO still wins but if you want a much less expensive alternative...
