Just traded my archon for this beauty... A peters
dual pro GNL/Halo.... Really cool sounding amp... Its a lot of amp sounds crushing with a boost... I swapped the TAD. El34s for a quad of JJ 6l6s as 34s just sound to muddy for me.... They helped a ton..... So now lets see how long this one stays around im on a ton hunt again lol

That looks nice...almost snagged a Peters myself this week...one day

im still not sure how i like it but with these boutique amps u cant try one in store so ya gotta do what ya gotta do

Great trade! James has both a great ear for tone and a great eye for design.

peters amps should have more recognition than they do. His amps are not hyped up as others on this forum or anywhere on the net. No wanna be amateur marketing hypsters.

Cool man, great for you, nice trade.

Now if you are a metal head, like me, try 6550 or KT88 tubes in there. It roars. Much tighter, balanced mids and crushes. The clean also benefits from this. IMO.

Mine is an FSM, Vega,Halo. The FSM is brootalz!!!!!!

Yup! FSM / Vega here too.
Great amps! Build quality is as good as anything out there.
I like 6550's or KT77's with Peters amps.
I find EL34's a little too thick and compressed and not enough thump for the tone I'm looking for. Amp is thick enough already.
6550's are indeed crushing.
"It roars" is a great description

edit: just a suggestion from the settings in the pic - turn the damping down to maybe noon, turn the presence up to about 1 o'clock and then bring the damping back up to taste. You might be able to dial in a little more depth as well, without it getting too boomy.
The damping is essentially the amount of negative feedback. Higher is less NFB.
A little more NFB ( lower damping ) helps keeps everything "together".
I run my damping and presence at 1'oclock and the depth @ about 3 o'clock. Amp is tight tight tight and rips like a MOFO.

Or you could try E34L's. They are a good happy medium for me.

If you don't like it or want to sell it I would be interested!
