Sounds really good! Love the sound when the chords bloom.

Sounds really good. Is the Thrasher any related tone to this? I was anticipating the Thrasher 50 to come out in late May but I have my reservations on the twangy sound on the Kemper profiles that I have. This clip of the 667 sounds fat and focused. But I only need really one channel of gain. 6 channels is gross overkill.

Sounds good but a little too fat and smooth for my tastes gained up like that. I like the tone a little more raw and cutting. This def. does that high gain modern sound though. Ton of amp to lug around though!

Everything you just criticized the sound for is exactly why I like his clip lol. I'm hoping the Thrasher would have this ability. But from what I can tell its thinner and spikey. Which to me is shit tone in a live setting. Fat and smoother is exactly what my 5153 is to the 5150 variants for example.

Wassup!!

Just a heads up, I've played all of the Randall stuff and the Thrasher can cut like glass in a live setting. To be honest with you, everything that Mike Designs cuts like glass (I know, I am biased, but it's the truth)
It's like everything else, if you set the amp up shrill, or use the wrong speakers it will sound shrill!! Basically what I'm saying is that if you heard it sound thin and spikey it was pilot error IMHO!!

Hope all is well!!

Cheers!!

Ok guys, check this out!

That is some GREAT rock tone there. Doesn't get much better.
I'm stoked that it's a Randall.

Is it pricey?

Definitely check it out!! It may or may not be your thing, but at least you have options :D If the thrasher doesn't do it for you, I'm sure one of the other designs will be right up your alley. Sorry to hear that you went through a tough patch, that's never easy but I'm happy that things are looking better! Cheers!

Nice review and tones! Was surprised by the quality of the lower gain tones. Very tasty. Pricing (~2500) seems reasonable for all that you get. Strangely, I couldn't finding a listing of its weight posted anywhere. :D

Hope you don't mind me posting the following 667 video here (seemed like a good place and too funny to resist):

Just bought one of these for a stupid deal..($1500) Rockinchippy: thanks for posting something other than 7 string agro (which is cool), but never heard this thing's versatility until your posts.... Hope it feels and has that "organic bounce and chewie zing"..

That's a very soft and smooth sounding distortion, pretty modern sounding too.
