Just gave it an unboxing and test spin with my Richie Kotzen Tele. I owned many SLOs thru the years and this sounds as good. Not used to the speakers, which have to be broken in. I'm used to V-30s or Greenbacks, but the head is LIGHT! Crunch ch is killer and on the lead ch, with the gain at noon, it's blistering Gary Moore blues rock.

Awesome amp man. That little amp has monster tone. Congratulations.

Awesome!
Did you special order the purple? Cool color!

Always wanted a SLO but where I live I'd get kicked out :)
Curious as to how loud this is in small spaces. Right now I'm between buying a Kemper or the 25.

Yeah, thru Blues City Music. Didn't take long at all. Currently got it in my living room. Great loop and great Master Volume. You can play it apt levels if need be, IMO

Congrats!! I've owned my Hot Rod 25 for over 2 years now and still love it. Just a incredible sounding amp. Amazing at bedroom volumes and amazing at gigging volumes. I've gigged with mine several times and it really can do it all. It does not sound like a 25 watt amp. It hangs with my Mesa Mark IV and Trem-o-verb, no problem, tonally.

Before I bought mine I A/B'd it with a SLO and a Hot Rod 100/50 in store. Loved the Hot Rod 25 tonally better so I ordered one in Bronco White that day. Mike built it and got it to me in around 2 weeks.

I've since sent mine to Mike to have the depth mod, which I love on this amp. Mike is just a killer amp builder. Congrats again.

How were those people do deal with? I tried buying a Hot Rod 50+ there a few years back, but the owner talked my ear off and told me that my Bogner and Friedman sucked and that I needed to get an SLO because it shits on every other amp on the planet. He actually turned me off on the whole idea of buying that Hot Rod from him because he made it sound like even the other Soldanos suck compared to the SLO. Luckily, I met Cliff from Destroy All Guitars as a result of that experience, so I can't complain too much.

Anyway, that dude used to sell a terrific little Astroverb sized 45w, 1 channel Soldano called the Soldano 44. I guess they don't make them anymore because they're not part of the Soldano website. I saw one a while back in mint condition for 1,100... should have bought it. They sound great. Two 6L6s, but very portable and had a real spring reverb. Great little amp.

Lynne Burke over at Blues City was a pleasure to deal with. He sold me an SLO years ago as well. Yes, he can talk on the phone and is a Soldano owner and fan. They may carry that 44 combo. It's worth inquiring.
Cliff is awesome as well. Great guy. Never tries to oversell you or buy something that isn't a good fit.

Just got a Soldano hr25 in this week. It's the first one I have played and loving it so far.

I'm assuming you ordered it with the SLO knobs as well or is that what Mike is putting on the 25 now?

Ordered the knobs. They also offer the SLO knobs in all-black.

Probably the amp I'm most interested in trying.

Clips?

Most of the clips that I've heard on YT apparently don't do it justice because ^ Those sound great.
