Picked this up last week after selling my 101B. What an amazing sounding and versatile beast. The feel on it is so unique and tight. Can’t wait to spend some time recording some originals with this monster!

I’m not certain I’d send it away or spend $$$ to get them done but the amp sounds fantastic with the dekompression knob off or at around 9:00. The variac I kinda find useless as the master is phenomenal.

Don’t count that variac out yet . Vh4 sounds way better that higher thst mater is . That’s the mod I’d be interested in . Congrats cool amp .and it’s white , looks sharp

I do the same . I mix my Diezel Herbert with a Wizard MTL2 always . Hell ya

Thanks! I have a 20th XTC as well . I see why some love or hate the VH4. It's a very unique feeling amp. So tight and immediate.....almost like it's gated. To me it's the perfect blend of vintage and modern. A true classic!

There is so much tone in there it’s crazy. Try every knob in all combos
Use those ears. There isn’t a tone you can’t get out of this puppy.
