ummm, so I went to try out the 112 cabs today with it...(after telling the gf I wouldn't need anything bigger as she already thinks just the Head is too big lol) and they just didn't sound all that good. I mean, I know I only need the cab until after the holidays then I can get either the two notes or rivera rock crusher recording and run it through my monitors but damn, I just didn't like those little 112's lol.
So I loaded it back in the Jeep and went to another local GC that had a Bogner 212. I plugged it in, strummed a chord and was sold lol. Sounded even better than the orange cab I tried it with the night I bought it. Unfortunately its oversized...and we've been running out of space as it is.( I keep putting off moving, either buying a house or just getting a bigger place, because I like our landlord and I just don't like change) We will be moving out this upcoming summer though and Im definitely going to be looking for a place where I can set up an office.
Man, the look on here face when I rolled this thing in...priceless. I tried to explain tone to her and she just wouldn't listen
I've got to say though even at low volumes this thing just KILLS! Running it at a little higher than tv volume(which is where I can run it every night in the apartment with the ability to give it juice on the weekends) still sounds and feels better than the Axe FX II did. I really hope it retains this when I run it through the Neumanns.
Also, Kyle Rhodes is the man. I reached out to him on FB and he got right back to me, answered my questions personally and even gave me some tips. Kudos for top notch customer service and for building one beast of an amp
