Yeah it's good for low volume jamming... Which one do you have? I don't think mine can take EL34's

Yours looks like the Archon 100, so it should be able to take EL34's as well. I tried 6CA7'ss and EL34's but went back to 6L6's. I felt like there was better clarity and better cleans with the 6L6's.

No, the trim pot should be on the top of the chassis and there are bias test points right on the back so no need to do anything other than pop the back panel off.
