That's so awesome, sounds like you're really having fun with it!! Glad you got this one... there are a ton of tones in there, as I know you're discovering. TS9/808 seem to be the most popular boosts and definitely the EQ in the loop. And yeah, that clean channel is really nice, too!

Congratulations!!

:rawk:

Thanks man! I plan on picking up an Airis Savage drive, so we'll see how it fairs with that as well. I have to tip my hat to you and Wizard of Oz for the answers to my questions on this amp

While the Club 40 was a great amp, this will get much more use as I primarily play metal. But for the times I want to crank out some vintage rock n rolla or heavy blues this amp seems capable of that too!
Now, since you clearly like this amp, wait till you try a Triple........tighter and a bigger power section will give you some of the same feelings as your Wizard....but with the Recto low mids.....

You are most welcome. I knew you’d dig it. :2thumbsup:

Some boost info: Tried a bunch thru mine today... the Savage Drive is great, highly recommended... I also dig the Thorpy Gunshot a lot as well. It keeps the tone thick/full while boosting. Maxon OD9 is hard to beat too. VFE Dragon is good for the boosted mid/modern sound.

And if you haven’t tried it yet... orange channel, raw mode.

Raw mode orange is cool indeed; I was all over that last night  I think I'll start looking for the Savage drive.

Nice! I am in the boat of wanting another Recto lately! I had a Rev E that was awesome, but would love to try a multiwatt. What do you think of it vs the Uber??

The Recto is MUCH more raw, a bit more open, and has a MUCH more pronounced low mid grunt. Only have had it a couple days, but I have to say this MW is extremely versatile. The Uber is more compressed a bit more articulate, more defined, but not near the low mids of the Recto. More balanced midrange and MUCH more capable of dialing in crazy upper mids if desired. The low mids are there for sure, but not like the Recto. The Uber is fairly versatile also; I got some great vintage rock tones the other night on the od ch w/ gain tuned down.

Yeah I've read the Triple is even tighter w/ more balls. Had I actually been looking for A Recto, I probably would have looked for a Triple. I picked this up on a trade that just kind of came out of nowhere.

I don’t boost a lot, but when I do. Savage drive is the shit!

Great amp! Congrats! Mesa really did a good job with the multi watts.

Thank you sir! I can't compare to any previous versions, but this one sure seems pretty awesome.

Someday I am going to buy one again =D. Or maybe a Triple. They are a stupidly good value used.
