Last couple weeks I've been clocking a lot of time with these and the Axe. It's been a definite learning curve but not so much with the wedges, just more the axe and its settings - which go ridiculously deep. Bottom line though? As several of you know, I was bent on getting that amp-in-room feel similar to the 3D bounce I crave and love from, say, my Diezels et al. I haven't achieved that effect with the Diezel patches per se, but definitely getting there with a number of different amps/presets and some focused tweaking. I am very pleased. I'll also go out on a limb here and say that knowing where to go and want to change, I'm sure I can get this ever elusive in-the-room-feel with a lot of the stock amps in the Axe.
I think the CLRs have a lot to do with this too. I lucked out, being my first time foray into FRFR. General consensus over at FAS is that these monitors have the amp-in-room Kung Fu; and I can't disagree. Recto, XTC, Cornford, Trainwreck, Silver Jubilee, Badger, Shiva, Orange. These are the amps I've managed to conjure a direct in yer face tone of a solid head on cab in the room. For the record, I've been mixing standard cabs w/ varying mics to flavour but ALWAYS with a far-field secondary IR (sometimes just the FF IR).
That's my update for now. Can't tell you how cool it is to actually 'get there' with this set up, and I know there's a long way down the rabbit hole to go should I wish. But right now, it's giving me what I want. Very cool!!

Thanks for the update. I have been hearing good things about the CLR's. I haven't gotten myself on the waiting list quite yet. I have been using the QSC's for this use, but honestly haven't spent the time with the Axe II and the QSC's.
Looking forward to hearing more reviews and maybe some clips

Thanks for keeping us all up to speed. Oh yeah, and CONGRATS on finding a killer solution. Really interested in how you get the Diezel patches up and running too. That's my thing as well as the 20th XTC, which I think the Axe II does pretty well, along with many others.
Enjoy
