Lookee here showed up this morning... NEW ACTIVE WEDGES DAY!!!!!

I'll be finishing off my TwinJet tone tests today and getting this set up ASAP. Will report back once they're up and running and dialed in. 2 Active CLR wedges a la Atomic. I'm pretty pumped to say the least

Congrats. Report back ASAP because I'm looking to get 2 of these myself. I just got on the list yesterday.

F the twin jet! Plug those bad boys in now and report! :)
I'm done with the TJ for now... All clips recorded, and just need editing.

As for these beautiful new Atomic wedges - they're 50 pounds each in box. I'm trying to figure out how to get 'em to where I can use 'em with my bum foot. This is a tease. Right now they're in my front door foyer. I'm going to have to get creative here...

to the rescue!

Hey, the foyer works. If the mountain will not come to Mahomet, Mahomet must go to the mountain.

Just unpacked these beauties and WHADDYA KNOW!!!! I managed to get them to a comfy place to actually test drive 'em. Gotta say, the packaging on these is akin to Apple - perfect packaging - I mean that. Tom King is making sure these show up in 1 piece.

Anyway - can't say much yet other than the fact their level of finish is thus far, immaculate. Perfect. Flawless.

Nice looking Wedges. Active or Passive? Like the shape a lot. So, I am sure they sound good....but, how good? Post a pic of the control panel on them when you get time if they are active.

Dude.....how cool would it be to only have to take these two little things, your Axe II and a computer to CR?!

Interested in how well they do.....interested to see too if they're good enough that you start dumping things you don't need anymore. Tone match on ALL of your amps, and then gone? Badass...

Now you're thinking RIGHT along the same lines as me. There's a reason I went full hog on these.

Ya, I don't wanna rush this process... They need proper set up; proper attention to the Axe parameters, etc. Tomorrow

Stevie, as per your up above post... No need to worry, Bro. It'll take 1 XLR in per wedge, and backed out from the A2 for true stereo. It's the right thing to do

Will set it all up and start the "what do I think" posts by the weekend. I will say, their level of finish, construction, and look are awesome at the onset. Sure, sure...made in China. Whatever. They look amazing, and they're pretty bomber in weight and feel. Smart add-ons too - rubberized feet on one side so you can tilt it to be a backline cab; the other side as a heavy duty pole mount for PA rigging; and the straight up on-the-floor angle is bang on.

As for the packaging - I told TK today I felt like I was unwrapping a box from Apple. Damn it Folks, the packaging for these monitors is nothing less than "total and complete". Very impressed. This extra level of "care" isn't cheap.

Peace,
Mojo

Preliminary report, been at 'em all morning :D

Wow.

There's something to be said about the true stereo panning and all... But that's just kidstuff. Alright, these things have got the following qualities that are first and foremost in-yer-face evident:
- They have the capability to be bloody loud!!
- A/B'ing them with quality headphones as well as studio monitors, they're bang on as to true signal repro
- They're exceptionally crisp, detailed, and complex sounding
- They're easy to set up
- They have a big sweetspot aurally
- Dead quiet
- Easy to get natural amp style feedback from guitar

I've got nothing to compare them to in the world of FRFR, but man, wow....

More soon to follow!!
