Finally bought a new cabinet, and this one I will not sell anytime soon!
Before I had a Engl 4x12 with celestion V60's wich are pretty awesome, but I couldn't get it to sound how I wanted. Then I traded that for a Marshall Mode Four MF400, with the G12 K-100 speakers. Oddly I didn't like it at all... Sharp and kinda thin sounding compared to the Engl, so I sold it pretty quick. After that I went to a large musicstore where I tested some Orange 4x12, Mesa Recto 4x12 and a Bogner 4x12, all loaded with V30's. I liked the Mesa Recto the most.
Then I finally found a good deal on a used Mesa Road King 4x12 cab. I took my Triple Rectifier with me so I could test it, and damn, compared to the Marshall MF400 cab sound I still had in my head, this cab sounds soooo much better!
It is the Road King 4x12, which has a two cab in one design. It has two Celestion V30's on one side, and two Celeston/Mesa C90's on the other side. The V30's have closed back, while the C90's are openback. You can either use the V30's or C90's, or combine them, which sounds absolutetly awesome! I actually like the openback C90 side really much, and use it right now, without the V30's.
Fills up the whole room, so full and rich sounding!
So, I finally found the cab to match with my Triple Rectifier RevF, and I will hang on to this one!
Some pics.
